Accessibility Testing (axe + WCAG)
About this course
Accessibility is a legal requirement now, not a nice to have. The European Accessibility Act has been enforceable since June 2025, and teams across the EU need people who can test for WCAG conformance and prove it. This course makes you that person, and it is hands-on from the first lesson.
What you will learn
- The WCAG success criteria that define conformance at level A and AA.
- The manual checks a scanner cannot do: keyboard, screen reader, zoom, and reflow.
- Automated testing with axe-core, the axe DevTools extension, and axe wired into your Playwright, Jest, and Cypress suites with CI gates.
- Reading markup for barriers, judging contrast and names, and using ARIA correctly.
- Auditing a page against WCAG 2.2 AA and writing clear, actionable accessibility bug reports.
It is honest about where a scanner stops and your judgement takes over. Start free with the first lab, Spot the Barrier, and see the approach before you buy.
